We are in California now for meetings with supporters, prayer partners and ministry partners, and we have been greatly encouraged by what we see as vibrancy of faith in Christ on multiple fronts. For one, we have met many people who have an active faith in Christ, people filled with his joy and peace and purpose. We often talk to people about faith in Christ, and have found that many people we have spoken to about Christ have already made a commitment to him, and are seeking to actively live out that faith. Just today we were in a convenience store, and contemporary Christian music was playing on the loudspeakers. We spoke to the manager and another clerk, and found they loved God and testified to their faith in Christ. Parking attendants we met love God and seek to serve him in their daily lives. Large church buildings for large congregations can be seen along the roads as you drive through southern California. It may be remembered that Southern California is the location of the Asuza Street revival back in the first decade of the 1900’s, which is considered by many to be the birth of the modern pentecostal movement, which has grown into a movement of hundreds of millions of people worldwide who have faith in Jesus Christ. It is also the area where church movements such as the Jesus Movement among hippies started in the 1960’s, and the founding of famous Christian music like that of Keith Green, Maranatha Music, Vineyard Music, the Vineyard Church movement, the Calvary Chapel movement, and major evangelistic ministries that have affected the world. Even yesterday, we saw an evangelist preaching on the beach, where three people responded to the message and came forward to profess their faith in Christ. We rejoice that the church is alive and active in California. Let’s pray that the people of God in California will continue to grow in dedication to the purposes of God, and be salt and light in their state, and continue to engage and influence the culture of California for the kingdom of God.
The war in Iran started today. What many people don’t know is that there is a massive turning to Christ by Iranians living in Iran. It is unprecedented in human history, to see what is said to be one million, some say several millions of Iranians turning to faith in Christ both inside and outside of Iran. It seems to be an answer to prayer, and it is growing rapidly. We have heard directly from Iranians who have come to Christ, that many are coming to Christ in Iran and there is a great need for them to be helped in their faith, to be discipled in their faith in Christ. We have also been told that one of the great needs in Iran is for Bibles, so that people can grow in their faith. Thankfully, there are people who are helping to make this happen. Not only are Bibles available online in the primary language of Iran (Farsi, or Persian as it is called by some), but also traditional paper Bibles are also in high demand. Of course there is persecution against some of those turning to Christ, so these new believers need our prayers to stay true to the Lord in the face of persecution. And we also need to pray for those who are boldly testifying of their faith in Christ, and for those who have been imprisoned for their faith. We also need to pray for the families of those who have been killed for their faith in Christ. Let us be praying for the Word of God to spread rapidly in Iran, and that the church of Jesus will be established there through miracles, signs and wonders, and through the authentic love that God establishes in the hearts of his people. And let us pray for this critical time of transition, that a government will be established that will allow people to freely worship and follow Jesus. Let us pray for a rapid end to this war, and that a government will be established that allows freedom of conscience, freedom of religion, and that the new believers will continue to grow in numbers and in the depth of their faith in Him.

From www.dufatanye.org, October 11, 2023 The International Day of the Girl Child is a stark reminder that many young girls around the world still lack the opportunities they deserve to lead carefree and untroubled lives. These girls face numerous challenges, including barriers to education and inadequate access to menstrual hygiene products. At one of our dedicated projects in Rwanda and within our communities, we are taking action to address these pressing issues, empowering young girlsand women, and building a foundation for a more advanced and forward-looking future One of our most vital initiatives is the production and distribution of high-quality eco-friendlysanitary pads that meet international standards, thanks to MINAZI Consultant. We believe that every girl and woman should have access to proper menstrual hygiene products. Menstruation should never be a source of shame or a barrier to education. By making these products readily available to all, we aim to eliminate a significant obstacle that young girls often face. Empowering Dreams: How our Initiative Transformed a Young Girl's Life and prevent drop-out rates11/5/2023 Ringuyeneza Constantin, The Dufatanye Organization, Rwanda From www.dufatanye.org, September 24, 2023 In Rwanda, the journey towards a brighter future for hundreds of children began with a simple yet powerful mission: to stop school dropouts and empower young minds. This remarkable story unfolds as more than 580 children were given school materials and their school fees paid, offering them a chance at an education they might otherwise have been denied. Among these students, one young girl, Irakoze Niyo Reponse Angele, stood out as a shining example of the life-changing impact such initiatives can have. Education is the key to unlocking a world of opportunities, but many children in Rwanda faceinsurmountable obstacles that force them to leave school prematurely. Poverty, lack of access to essential school supplies, and the inability to cover school fees are just some of the barriers that stand in their way. Determined to make a difference, we embarked on a mission to halt the dropout rates and empower these children to thrive academically. The first step in this transformative journey was ensuring that each child had access to the fundamental tools required for a quality education. Thanks to the Talboth Heath School and the generosity of donors and support from local communities, more than 580 children received school materials, textbooks, and most importantly, a renewed sense of hope. Thesetangible resources not only eased the financial burden on their families but also ignited a belief that through education, their dreams could become reality. Ringuyeneza Constantin, The Dufatanye Organization, Rwanda From www.dufatanye.org, October 3, 2023 In Rwanda, we have become synonymous with hope, transformation, and empowerment. At the heart of our mission lies a powerful belief: that by empowering vulnerable communities through improved agricultural practices, poverty can be eradicated. With our ground breaking "Village of Hope" project, we are not just changing lives; we are planting the seedsof a brighter future. In rural Rwanda, where many families struggle to secure a meal each day, our Village of Hope project is nothing short of revolutionary. At its core, the project provides each family with essential agricultural resources: 10 banana plants, 2 chickens, 3 fruit trees, 10 cariandras for animals feeding and we build a kitchen garden for them as well as planting in vegetables. Empowerment is about more than just assistance; it's about fostering ownership and self-reliance. We actively engage the community in every step of the journey. Local residents are integral in the decision-making processes, planning, and execution of the project. This senseof ownership not only instils pride but also guarantees the project's sustainability. The impact of our efforts reverberates through the community. Families that once struggled with hunger now have an abundance of fresh produce and poultry products to sell at local markets. The additional income has empowered parents to invest in their children's education, access healthcare, and make essential improvements to their homes and villages.Poverty's grip is loosening, and a tangible hope for a brighter tomorrow is flourishing. Dufatanye's commitment to environmental sustainability is integral to their approach. They promote eco-friendly farming methods that protect the land and conserve natural resources. Crop rotation, composting, and responsible poultry management are not only sound agricultural practices but also important steps toward preserving the environment for future generations. The success of our Village of Hope project is a testament to the transformative power of sustainable agriculture. Their model is an inspiration, not just for the villages, but for Rwanda and the world. It reminds us that by empowering vulnerable communities through improved agricultural practices, we can break the cycle of poverty and pave the way for a brighter, more prosperous future. Ringuyeneza Constantin, The Dufatanye Organization, Rwanda From www.dufatanye.org, October 15, 2023 In the rolling hills of rural Rwanda, a group of resilient women, who have been affected by the lasting scars of the Genocide, have found solace, empowerment, and a renewed sense of purpose through our organization. Formed with the intention of bridging the gap left by the absence of agricultural land, we have fostered a close-knit community, Women Environmental Activities at Dufatanye (WEAD), where women come together to create beautiful crafts such as woven baskets, cards, frames from banana fibers, and turning wasteinto eco-friendly materials (Recycling and upcycling). These creations not only provide economic independence but also offer a lifeline of hope and camaraderie. Among the women who have found hope and healing through us, is MUKANGARAMBE Anne Marie, a 56-year-old mother of three who has faced her fair share of adversity. She lives withthe enduring physical and emotional scars of the Genocide, which often leaves her in ill health. Despite the challenges she faces, she has discovered a lifeline of support and income through Dufatanye's arts and crafts program. For her daily work revolves around the intricate art of weaving baskets. This arts and craft has become a source of livelihood, allowing her to support her family and access medical treatment. The income generated from her craftwork has been a financial safety net, providing her with the means to seek medical attention and meet the needs of her household. Beyond the economic benefits, we have played a crucial role in alleviating the loneliness that has haunted her and many women like her. The organization provides a sense of community,a place where women can come together, share their experiences, and find comfort in the understanding of others who have endured similar hardships. Anne Marie's story is emblematic of the impact of Dufatanye. Before joining the organization, she often struggled to find joy in life due to her ongoing health issues. The sense of isolationweighed heavily on her spirit. But the organization has been a lifeline, offering her a sense of belonging and purpose. Her health has improved as she smiles more and finds solace in the company of her fellow women. In a world that often isolates those who have endured hardship, Dufatanye shines as a light of hope. The organization has not only helped these women overcome economic challenges but has also nurtured their emotional well-being and given them a sense of belonging. Anne Marie's story is just one example of the many lives that have been touched and uplifted our organization. |
